Brief / profile
Also known as Wenmiao Temple in Chinese, The Confucian Temple is the largest and best-preserved temple dedicated to Confucius in Gansu Province. It has been listed as the provincial Relic Protected Site by the Gansu Government.

Location

This temple is located in the southeast of Wuwei City, Gansu Province.

Construction

The Confucian Temple stands a central position in the Confucian Temple complex, which indicates its important position. In addition, there’re still other famous structures such as Dacheng Hall, Bridge of the Number One Scholar, lattice Gate, Hastate Gate and the Banchi Pool which are in the south of the complex. The Sutra Pavilion is to the north and the Liangzhou Mansion housing the Confucian Academy is in the west.

History

This ancient complex can date back the Ming Dynasty.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Admission fee.
Visitors need to pay RMB 31 for the admission fee.

Note

This attraction is open to the public from 8:00 to 17:00 and the recommended time for a visit is one hour.
