Brief / profile
As a large brick tomb of the late Eastern Han Dynasty, the Leitai Han Tomb is one of the most important sightseeing destinations in Wuwei.

Location

This attraction lies in Leitai Park in the north of the city center.

Function or value in the past

It was built to honor the Chinese gold Leishen.

Construction

The tomb can be divided into 3 main brick chambers: the front room, middle room and behind room. Each room owns a smaller annex on both sides. There’re 231 cultural relics made of gold, silver, copper, jade as well as pottery and 99 copper chariots with horses and soldiers. Among them, the most important antique is the Bronze Galloping Horse which is about 35 centimeters high and 45 centimeters long, weighing 7 kilograms. Nowadays, it has become a symbol of Chinese tourism.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

History
This tomb was discovered by a farmer in 1969 and can be traced back to the Han Dynasty.

The admission fee for this attraction is RMB 50.
