Wubao Ancient Tombs are a complex of ancient tombs, covering an area of 5,000 square meters with an elevation of 525 meters.
Location
They lie in the deep Gobi, 2 kilometers away from Wubao County, Hami City.
Construction
The attraction has been excavated for 3 times. People found graves inside the tombs are orderly arranged and usually 1.5 meters long and 1.2 to 2 meters deep. A sterebate with the height of 0.5 meters and width of 0.2 meters is near the bottom. Besides, a poplar is used as its lid. Under the lid is a burial chamber with the length of 1.1 meters and height of 0.8 meters. A burial chamber usually has one cadaver.
History
Wubao Ancient Tombs belong to the late New Stone Age and can date back to 2,900 to 3,000 years ago according to related research.
